Four people killed in Ukraine’s HIMARS strike on bridge over Dnipro River in Kherson, pro-Russian authorities report

The occupation “government” of Ukraine’s Kherson region reports that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched 12 HIMARS missiles targeting the crossing over the Dnipro River in Kherson.

“They launched 12 HIMARS missiles; 11 missiles were taken down by air defence systems, one of them fell in the area of the Antonivka Bridge,” a source in the emergency services told Interfax.

Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the occupation “government” of the region, has reported that four people were killed in the attack.

“I know of four casualties. One woman and three men. One of them was discovered this morning,” he said.

Rescue workers have been deployed to the scene. The injured were taken to the Kherson regional hospital, head of the “regional government” Sergey Eliseev said.

“The nature of their injuries points to the fact that cluster HIMARS munitions packed with shrapnel to cause the most damage were used,” Eliseev noted.

On 19 October, the occupation “administration” of Enerhodar reported that Ukraine had delivered a HIMARS strike on the city administration building. On 16 October, the Donetsk city hall building came under attack. Russia-appointed mayor of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin said that three HIMARS missiles had been launched in the direction of the Voroshilovky district in Donetsk.
