Russia strikes hospital in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region , killing doctor

Russian troops struck a hospital in the Kupyansk district of Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, governor Oleg Synegubov said. An anaesthesiologist was killed in the attack, and a nurse was injured.

The information on the injured is currently being verified, the governor added.

“The building is fully destroyed from the first to the fourth floor. Rescue workers and police are working on the scene. Striking a hospital is the height of the Russians’ cruelty,” Synegubov wrote.

On 1 October, the Kharkiv regional governor reported that a convoy of civilian cars had been shelled by Russian forces. Twenty people were killed. The day before, Ukrainian authorities stated that a civilian humanitarian convoy had been attacked by Russian troops on the exit from the Zaporizhzhia region. Following the attack, at least 30 people were killed, while at least 118 civilians were injured.
