Ukraine reports 20 people killed following Russian attack on convoy of civilian cars in Kharkiv region

A shot up convoy of civilian cars was discovered in the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region, reports head of the Kharkiv region military administration Oleh Synegubov.

“Invaders attacked civilians that were trying to escape. According to the preliminary data, 20 people were killed in the cars,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Russian side has not commented on the attack.

Yesterday, 30 September, Ukrainian authorities reported that a civilian humanitarian convoy had been attacked by Russian forces on the exit from the Zaporizhzhia region. Following the attack, at least 30 people were killed, while at least 118 civilians were injured.

According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia region administration Oleksandr Starukh, “some people were queueing up to enter the temporarily occupied territory to bring their relatives back from there and to deliver some aid” when the attack was conducted.

At the same time, Vladimir Rogov, the pro-Russian occupation “official”, claimed that the strike had been executed by Ukraine’s army.
