Third drafted man dies at training camp in Russia’s Novosibirsk region
Russia’s Tyva native conscripted under “partial mobilisation” has died during military training at a boot camp in the Novosibirsk region, a message on the official Tyva website says.
“Preliminarily, there was a fatal incident following the use of alcoholic beverages. An investigation is being conducted,” the authorities report.
On 3 October, it was reported that a first draftee had died in the Novosibirsk region of Russia. It was said that the man had died in his sleep at the Novosibirsk Military Command Academy.
On 7 October, media reported that a second drafted man had died at the Novosibirsk Military Command Academy. Russia’s Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under article on murder.
Yesterday, 24 October, Khakassia’s government reported that a 48-year-old drafted man Mikhail Kulinchenko had died in a military unit. The official statement says that the man died “following an illness”, however, the exact cause has not yet been established.
