Pacific Ocean Fleet rescuers looking for the crew

A MiG-31 military plane has crashed in Kamchatsky region, Russia’s Far East, over Avachinsky Bay, TASS reports, citing the Pacific Ocean Fleet press service.

The report says that the jet crashed while conducting a “planned training flight”. The Pacific Fleet Ocean’s rescue teams are already looking for the crew.

MiG-31 is a supersonic long-range fighter jet. This aircraft can carry the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
