At least three killed in Ukraine’s Donetsk region shelling by Russian forces

At least three people have been killed, six more have been injured in a Russian attack on the city of Kostyantynivka, Ukraine’s Donetsk region, regional Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko reported.

“The Russians shelled the central part of the city this morning. Blocks of flats and residential private houses are seriously damaged. The affected people are now receiving all the necessary care. Rescue teams and police officers are at the site,” he wrote.

Kyrylenko noted that the report will be updated as more information comes through.

Senior Ukrainian official Andriy Yermak claims that the Kostyantynivka attack was carried out with the use of multiple missile launch systems and cluster munitions.

Russian journalist Yuri Kotenok alleges that the shelling destroyed a Ukrainian ammo depot.

Last week, Kostyantynivka’s homeless registry centre was targeted by an attack, killing three people and injuring two more.
