At least five killed by Russia’s attacks in Kharkiv, Kherson regions

Four people were killed by Russia’s attacks in Ukraine’s Kherson region, five more were injured, says the regional government.

One person was killed in the city of Kherson, while people also lost their lives in the localities of Kamyshany and Mykolaivka.

The Office of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General also reports that Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region was also attacked this morning. A man, 63, was killed, and residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a leisure park were damaged. Preliminary indications are that multiple launch rocket systems were used.

The UN Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner reports that at least 8,101 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since the start of Russia’s invasion, while 13,479 were injured.

The organisation notes that the true number of victims is significantly higher as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed, and many reports are still pending corroboration.
