Woman killed, man injured in shelling of Russia’s Belgorod region

One woman has been killed, one man has been injured in an artillery attack on a poultry farm located in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belgorod region, located on the Russia-Ukraine border, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.

According to the region’s head, most projectiles landed on the car park and an administrative building of the farm where employees were getting ready for their shift.

“One person died: a woman in critical condition with multiple fragmentation wounds died in an ambulance. One person was injured: a man with fragmentation wounds of his lower body was rushed to the central regional hospital,” Gladkov wrote.

On 19 February, a girl aged 12 died in the shelling of Novaya Tavolzhanka. Gladkov also said that three private houses, a household building, and a car were damaged in the attack.

The wider Belgorod region was also attacked on Sunday. Projectiles hit several districts of the region. Several power lines and a private house were damaged, Gladkov noted.
