Donetsk’s occupation authorities report ‘the biggest strike since 2014’ on city

The Donetsk occupation authorities have said that the city centre has been targeted by “the biggest strike since 2014” in the morning of 15 December, Russia-installed Mayor Alexey Kulemzin reported.

“40 BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher missiles were fired at civilians of our city,” he claims.

Kulemzin added that witnesses had seen direct hits at blocks of flats as well as a student hospital, fires and smokes, a preschool had windows and doors blown out, while another school had windows and the outside damaged.

No deaths or injuries in the shelling have been reported.

Kyiv is yet to comment on the Donetsk shelling report.

On 10 December, Kulemzin said that 1 person died in the Donetsk shelling. According to him, it was launched by the Ukrainian army. On 6 December, the “DPR militia” said that a member of the unrecognised republic’s parliament had died in the shelling. The Donetsk “mayor” also noted that 1 person had died in the shelling on 28 November.
