‘DPR’ people’s militia says parliament deputy of the unrecognised republic was killed in shelling

Following shelling of the city of Donetsk, a deputy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk “people’s republic” parliament, Maria Pirogova, was killed, Russia’s state news agency TASS reports, citing the people’s militia of the unrecognised republic.

“She was killed, we confirm,” a representative of the militia said.

According to the “DPR” military forces, the shelling was conducted from the positions held by Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Pirogova was 29 years old, TASS adds. She became a member of the “DPR” people’s council (parliament) in 2018.
