Putin’s spokesman: there is no presidential decree on finishing ‘partial’ mobilisation

There is no presidential decree on finishing the “partial” mobilisation as of yet, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said when asked whether there are any intentions to stop the mobilisation nationwide.

He also noted that the Defence Ministry has mobilisation quotas for each region. “Those regions that have fulfilled their quotas have their mobilisation process stopped,” TASS cites Peskov.

Sergey Sobynin, the Moscow mayor, and Andrey Vorobyev, the Moscow region governor, reported finishing mobilisation in their regions yesterday.

However, as Pavel Chikov of Agora, a human rights group, stresses out, the regional authorities in Russia may not finish mobilisation. “The law and the mobilisation decree only regulate the declaration of mobilisation, but its suspension or termination is not subject to any regulatory act,” he says.
