Pro-Russian ‘official’ says Ukraine launches offensive in Kherson region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have launched an offensive in the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, deputy chief of the occupation administration of Ukraine’s Kherson region, said.

“Despite the AFU’s attempts to launch an offensive in the Kherson region in the area of Dudchany and the shelling of Beryslav, the situation remains unchanged,” he stated. “The line of defence is functioning; the situation is under full control.”

According to Stremousov, the Ukrainian troops are currently carrying out artillery attacks as part of their offensive.

The pro-Russian “official” once again advised local residents to evacuate to Russia “to avoid casualties”.

It was reported earlier that Russia had taken several thousand children out of the Kherson region. About 500 people a day are leaving the region, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said.

Yesterday, the administration of Russia-occupied Kherson region “strongly recommended” its residents to come to Russia for a “humanitarian recreation and wellness trip”.

“Don’t forget that it’s going to be cold soon, and that the Nazis do not abandon their attempts to break through to Kherson. Those who have lost their homes in the shelling of the Kherson region by Ukro-Nazis can find a place to live and get a job on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Kirill Stremousov, “deputy chief of the military-civil administration” of the Kherson region, said.
