Belgorod regional officials switch schools along border with Ukraine to online learning

Due to regular shelling, all schools in the area of Russia’s Belgorod in the 10 km zone along the border with Ukraine will switch to online learning starting Monday, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated.

There will be on-call groups in kindergartens.

The governor reported that 30 houses had been damaged in the village of Krasny Khutor. “Practically all residents of the village were evacuated, some of them are staying with relatives, some live in temporary accommodation centres,” the governor said.

Yesterday, regional health minister Andrey Ikonnikov stated that one woman was killed in the shelling of Krasny Khutor by Ukrainian forces, and two people were injured.

The village of Krasny Khutor is located several kilometres away from the Ukrainian border.
