Russian TV channel Pyatnitsa has launched a casting call for a new reality show “16 and Served Time,” the channel’s website informs.
“You’re not even twenty yet, but you already faced jail time or have a suspended sentence? Is your probation officer a frequent guest at your house? Would crime novelists be jealous of your bad girl lifestyle? Your parents just can’t handle you? Then this casting call is for you!” the TV channel writes.
The show asks potential participants of the show to fill out a questionnaire about their life, to describe “a perfect crime” and the worst thing they’ve ever done. They are also asked to respond to questions like: “Is your life pushing you towards crime again? Do you still want to commit crimes?”, “Are you afraid of jail?”, and “Who is/was your negative influence?”
Another Russian TV channel U has a reality show called Zhduli (a slang term loosely translated as “girls who wait”) with a similar theme, showing the life of women who prefer to date men currently serving time in prison.
