No less than 232 children were killed in the Ukraine War, another 427 children were injured, says Ukraine’s Office of Prosecutor General.
145 child casualties were recorded in the Donetsk region; the Kyiv region suffered 116 child casualties. In the Kharkiv region, 100 children were killed or injured.
The Office notes that these figures are inconclusive and more precise data will follow. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 7,389 civilian casualties in the country as of 19 May: 3,811 killed and 4,287 injured.
