Russia and Ukraine have suspended the negotiation process, Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said during the United News of Ukraine telethon.
“However, it will be recovered, and I think Zelensky will moderate it,” Podolyak said.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko also stated that the Russia-Ukraine peace talks had stalled. “No, the talks have stopped. Ukraine has essentially quit the negotiation process. There are no negotiations in any form,” he said, quoted by state news agency RIA Novosti.
The Russia-Ukraine peace talks started in late February, with the first round held in Pripyat. The negotiations later continued online. Russian and Ukrainian delegations also met for talks in Turkey.
