Governor of Russia’s Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported another attack on the region from the side of Ukraine on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the settlement of Bezymeno came under attack. The region’s head added that one person was slightly injured in the attack.
“There is some damage. Right now, we are assessing the situation. We will recover everything that was damaged as soon as possible,” he said.
Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoyt also reported an attack from the side of Ukraine. According to him, the Tetkino border checkpoint came under a mortar attack. No one was injured.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, as well as governors of other Russian regions bordering Ukraine have repeatedly reported attacks on their territory. On May 11, one person was killed and seven were injured in the attack on the settlement of Solokhi in the Belgorod region. A total of 54 residential buildings were destroyed in the attack, local officials report.
Earlier, residents of the Nekhoteevka settlement, also located in the Belgorod region, were evacuated “to a safe location.”
Since the start of the war, a total of 280 buildings have been damaged in the Belgorod region. A total of 85 vehicles, including agricultural equipment and personal vehicles, were destroyed.
