Two shells hit the Russian village of Zhecha in the Bryansk region, reports Aleksandr Bogomaz, the local governor.

The Russian aerial defence systems discovered a Ukrainian jet at 6:50 in the morning. Russia was trying to prevent it from entering its airspace when the shells hit Zhecha.
“The blast wave damaged one of the buildings at the local oil terminal. The second shell damaged the surrounding area. Emergency services are currently on the scene. There are no victims, and operational measures are being taken,” Bogomaz said.
Bogomaz claimed that a Russian Border Service building was attacked yesterday in Belaya Beryozka; no casualties were reported.
Since the beginning of the invasion, the authorities of the Ukraine-bordering Russian regions have repeatedly reported shelling of border checkpoints. Roman Starovoyt, the Kursk governor, reported that a checkpoint in Krupets had been attacked with mortars on 29 April — with no casualties as well.
