Russia has initiated a criminal procedure against Yelena Kotyonochkina, head of Moscow’s Krasnoselsky district, and Alexey Gorinov, a councilman from the same district. Both are accused of ‘spreading fake news about the Russian army’, reports OVD-Info.
A search was conducted at Gorinov’s house, he was later escorted to the headquarters of the Investigative Committee.
Another search was conducted today at the district’s council, Russian politician Ilya Yashin reported earlier. He also said that there were several “complaints” against the local MPs and assumed that the anti-war statements by some of the MPs might be the reason behind the events.
