EU slaps Russia with 10th sanction package

The EU members have agreed on the tenth package of sanctions to punish Moscow further for its invasion of Ukraine on 24 February, exactly a year since the war began, the Swedish Presidency in the EU Council and Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak tweeted.

The latest package will include:

  • Tighter export restrictions regarding dual-use and technology;
  • Targeted restricted measures against individuals and entities supporting the war, spreading propaganda or delivering drones used by Russia in the war;
  • Measures against Russian disinformation,

according to Stockholm.

Brussels is yet to officially announce the package.

Earlier, the US, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada imposed new sanctions against Moscow. Moreover, Washington is setting a 200% tariff on aluminum imports from Russia.
