In the early hours of 13 December, two explosions were reported in the Bryansk region of Russia, local media outlet Bryanskaya Ulitsa [Bryansk Street] and Telegram channel Bryansk News report.
“In the night, [the Bryansk region’s] Klintsy and Klimovo jumped up from the loud noises of explosions. This happened at around 2 AM,” the media outlet reports.
The fire in the urban-type village Klimovo had erupted before the explosions which woke up local residents — it is possible that a household fire took place, Bryansk News claims. According to the Telegram channel, in the town of Klintsy, “local residents report shelling by Ukraine’s Armed Forces and a potent blast wave”.
“The Klintsy residents said that the explosions were so powerful that they woke up the entire town,” the message reads.
The Bryansk region governor Alexander Bogomaz has confirmed the information about the town of Klintsy having been shelled.
“In the night, Ukraine’s Armed Forces shelled the territory of the town of Klintsy. As a result of the Russian Armed Forces’ air defence systems being activated, the missile was destroyed, some parts [of it] ended up on the territory of the industrial zone. No one was hurt, there is no damage,” he said.
