Ukraine’s Zelensky visits frontline in Donbas
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian leader said on his Telegram channel.
Zelensky was briefed on the situation on the frontlines, as well as the material and technical support of the Ukrainian troops. He spoke to the servicemen and awarded them with state medals.
The Ukrainian leader visited the area of Lysychansk and Soledar. Lysychansk is located near Sievierodonetsk, a city in the Luhansk region partly occupied by the Russian army.
Earlier, governor of the Luhansk region Serhiy Gaidai stated that the Russian army continued to storm Sievierodonetsk. He reported that several civilians were injured in the shelling of the city.
