Kadyrov children form part of Russian delegation at climate summit in Dubai

Two children of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, are part of the Russian delegation at the UN Climate Change Conference currently being held in Dubai.

Kadyrov’s daughter Khadizhat, aged 23, and 18-year-old son Akhmat, both appear on the list of participants, independent Russian news outlet Meduza reported Monday.

The press service of the Chechen Department of Pre-School Education, headed by Khadizhat Kadyrova, had previously announced her participation. The department clarified that Kadyrova had already met Dr. Nisreen Al-Tamimi, the chairwoman of the Palestinian Environmental Authority, and Syrian Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf, where she underlined “the importance of humanitarian activity”.

Akhmat Kadyrov is there in his capacity as Chechen first deputy minister for physical training and sport, a position he was appointed to last month.
