The Russian Ministry of Defence announced the successful launch of its Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile from a submarine in the White Sea on Sunday.

The announcement came a day after Ukrainian military intelligence reported a number of failed Yars and Bulava missile tests in Russia, reporting that both types of missile had strayed off course, as they had done in previous tests.

Ukrainian intelligence also claimed the Russians were experiencing issues with the Sarmat missile, the development of which has been a key aspect in the modernisation of Russia’s strategic nuclear forces.

Mufti of Karachay-Cherkessia presents award to Adam Kadyrov

Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov’s 15-year-old son has been presented with the Order of Merit for the Ummah, according to Rashid Temrezov, the governor of Karachay-Cherkessia, another region in Russia’s North Caucasus.

The award is the latest of several for Adam Kadyrov since footage of him beating up a defenceless 19 year old accused of burning the Koran was released by his father.

He has already been given the title of Hero of Chechnya, and two days ago he was put in charge of security for Chechnya’s intelligence chief.
