Two dead in Russian attack on Zaporizhzhya

Two people were killed and another two received injuries after a Russian strike on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhya, Yuriy Malashko, head of the district administration, reported Sunday morning.

“A 32-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man have been killed in a missile attack by the Russian army against [Zaporizhzhya]. Two women, 36 and 55, were taken to hospital with minor injuries,” he wrote.

According to Malashko, Russian forces launched 77 strikes on 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhya region in the past 24 hours, including the town of Orekhiv. 31 instances of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure were reported.

The head of the Kherson regional administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that Russian shelling injured two residents of the region over the past 24 hours. The head of the Kharkiv regional administration, Oleh Synegubov, also reported Russian shelling, adding that nobody was injured.

The head of the Donetsk regional administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that Russian forces had once again shelled Avdiivka, Toretsk, and Vuhledar and dropped a FAB-500 air bomb on the village of New York. He reported no casualties.
