A woman was killed in an attack on the town of Shebekino, governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported Sunday morning.
According to Gladkov, the shelling hit the area around the town’s central market, damaging two cars and a shop front.

“Tragically, one person was killed — a woman who was cycling along the pavement when the shelling occurred. The injuries sustained from the shrapnel were lethal,” he wrote.
Earlier today, Crimean authorities reported that nine drones were shot down overnight in the region. The information was corroborated by a statement of the Russian Defence Ministry.
