Ukraine: Russia attacked Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi regions with Shahed drones overnight

Russia’s military attacked Ukraine with Shahed 136/131 drones overnight, according to Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian air defence managed to destroy five drones. The rest of the drones were not intercepted.

“Shaheds struck industrial and infrastructure facilities in the regions of Dnipro and Kropyvnytskyi. No victims reported so far. Local authorities will provide more detail,” the statement reads.

Serhiy Lysak, the Dnipro governor, says an agriculture facility was attacked in Kryvyi Rih. A man, 26, was injured and admitted to hospital.

The drone also caused two fires, both were put out. “Several warehouse spaces were destroyed, some of the equipment and vehicles were damaged,” Lysak wrote.

Andriy Raykovych, the Kropyvnytskyi governor, has confirmed that the region had been attacked by Shaheds overnight. “Preliminary indications are that no people were injured, and no civilian infrastructure was damaged,” Raykovych wrote.

Today is day 500 of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, has posted a video of him visiting the Snake Island that was liberated from Russia’s military roughly a year ago.
