Russian drones hit apartment block in Sumy, Ukraine, kill one

The Russian military has attacked downtown Sumy in Ukraine, says Andriy Yermak, the Head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s Office. One of the drones hit a five-storey residential block, killing one person.

The local administration says four Shahed 136 kamikaze drones were used. An administration building and two apartment blocks were damaged.

A total of 16 people were injured as of 13:00 local time. Rescuers have arrived at the location.

The Russian military executed two missile strikes against the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region on 27 June. A total of 13 people were killed, including Ukrainian fiction author Victoria Amelina, and 61 civilians were injured, including an 8-months old baby.
