Moscow baker charged with ‘discreditation of military’ for cakes with anti-war writings

Moscow police have charged Anastasia Chernysheva, a local baker who produces sweet cakes with anti-war writings on them, with “discreditation of the Russian military”, OVD-Info cites Yulia Yevdokimova, a lawyer.

The police arrived at Chernysheva’s home yesterday, detained her, and took her to the police station. She was soon released and charged with “discreditation”; the exact reason behind the charges remains unknown.

Human rights defenders say the pastry baker donates money to charity and is against the war.
