Local authorities: one person killed and 25 injured in Russian shelling of Ukraine’s Slovyansk

At least one person has been killed and 25 injured in shelling of the city of Slovyansk, Donetsk region, conducted by Russia’s Armed Forces, head of the Donetsk region military administration Pavlo Kyrylenko reports.

According to Kyrylenko, the Russian forces used two S-300 missiles to target the centre of the city, administration and office buildings were destroyed, as well five multi-storey residential buildings and seven private houses.

Kyrylenko adds that two S-300 missiles hit a children’s home in the city of Druzhkivka which ended up almost completely destroyed. According to initial reports, no one was hurt in Druzhkivka.

Yesterday, 26 March, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak reported that the Russian army had carried out a missile strike against two multi-storey buildings in the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. No one was hurt.

On 24 March, Kyrylenko said that three people had been killed in shelling of the city of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region.
