Russia’s Bryansk region governor: Ukrainian drone attacks Druzhba pipeline

A Ukrainian UAV has attacked the Novozybkov oil pumping station of the Druzhba pipeline located in the Bryansk region of Russia, the local governor Alexander Bogomaz reports.

“Ukraine’s Armed Forces, using an UAV, have attacked the territory of the Novozybkov oil pumping station of JSC Transneft. No one was hurt. Emergency crews are already onsite,” Bogomaz writes in a Telegram post.

He adds that power had to be temporarily turned off in villages Mamai, Trostan, Druzhba, Novskoye, and Dubrovka for security reasons. Bogomaz assures the local residents that the power will be turned back on after the operational and investigative activities have been conducted.

Earlier today, Telegram channel Baza reported that an explosive had been launched from the drone. According to the channel, no one was hurt in the following explosion.

On 1 February, Russian company Transneft reported that Ukraine’s forces had attempted to shell the Novozybkov station.

On 15 March, Transneft claimed to have located new explosive devices on the Novozybkov station.

Furthermore, the Novozybkov station is not being used for pumping oil in 2023, while its tank farm is empty.
