Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, has reported that air defence systems had taken down two missiles over the city of Belgorod overnight, as per his Telegram channel.
Gladkov says “residential and administrative buildings were damaged”.
No casualties were recorded. A local Telegram channel says the debris of an air defence missile dropped near the city’s downtown and damaged a roadway.
Gladkov also noted that “the opponent’s activity has been pretty high during the last four days.” A total of 56 houses were damaged, as well as 31 private vehicles.
One person was injured by a shelling in the Belgorod region, Gladkov reported on Monday. The woman in question was admitted to hospital with a concussion. A total of four missiles were reported to have been taken down over the Belgorod area on that day.
