Russia’s Belgorod region governor: local woman injured during shelling

One person was injured in a shelling in the Belgorod region of Russia, local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reports.

“A woman with a concussion is being hospitalised by an ambulance crew. She doesn’t have an open wound. Her condition is considered moderately severe,” he writes on his official Telegram channel.

According to Gladkov, air defence shot down four missiles in the airspace of Belgorod and the Belgorod district. Two households were damaged by shell wreckage.

On 9 March, the construction of a “defence line” on the border with Ukraine was completed in the region.

According to the governor, the installation cost 10 billion rubles (€120 million), allocated outside of the regional budget.
