A 72-year-old woman has been killed in shelling of the Russian village of Borisovka located in the Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.
“A projectile hit a private residential house. One woman born in 1951 has died. Her daughter received care after an ambulance arrived,” he said.
According to him, the other projectile destroyed a different house. The building was empty, no one was injured.
Shell fragments damaged two private houses. The village’s gas supply is interrupted.
Earlier today, a military jet crashed in the Belgorod region, Gladkov reported.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported that a Su-25 jet crashed while returning to the air base in the Belgorod region after completing a combat mission. The plane fell in a location removed from people. The pilot died.
According to the preliminary reports available to the Defence Ministry, a technical fault has caused the crash.
