Moscow hotel fire kills seven

A fire broke out in MKM hotel located in Moscow on 21 February, seven people died in the blaze, TASS reports citing emergency services.

According to Baza, “preliminary information suggests that a hotel guest set his belongings on fire in a hotel hall”. After the blaze was extinguished, firefighters investigated the fifth floor hall, the Telegram channel noted.

Two children are among the killed hotel guests. Moreover, 11 people were injured, including three children.

“Nine people have been rushed to hospitals, two people received medical care without hospitalisation,” TASS reports.

A criminal case was opened on charges of not providing safe services.
