Neo-Nazi Russian army captain gets shot in head at point blank range, dies in hospital

Igor Mangushev, a neo-Nazi captain of the Russian army who was earlier recorded holding a human skull which he claimed to be of a Ukrainian serviceman, was shot at point blank range by unknown individuals and died in hospital, RIA Novosti and Yury Kotenok report citing Mangushev’s friend.

Mangushev’s wife Tatyana Azarevich reported on 5 February that he had suffered a heavy head wound while in the Luhansk region.

“Doctors say it was most likely a 9mm pistol bullet that was stuck in his brain. Still no criminal investigation started. Judging by the wound, it was a murder, or even an execution,” Azarevich said.

Mangushev gained notoriety after a video appeared in August which showed him standing on stage at a club, holding a human skull, and claiming that the skull is of a Ukrainian serviceman killed at Azovstal.
