Three people suspected of planning to set a draft office on fire have been detained in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don, 161.RU local media outlet reports, citing a law enforcement source.
According to the outlet, the police opened a criminal case on the charge of hooliganism.
Baza writes that two minors are among the detainees. The detainees are 21, 17, and 17 years old.
The investigation believes that the suspects conspired to set a draft office ablaze with Molotov cocktails but failed to do so. Their houses were searched.
Last week, two people accused of setting a draft office in Nizhnevartovsk on fire in May were hit with heavier charges. The investigation now accuses them of a terrorist attack instead of a premeditated property damage and hooliganism. The terrorism charge carries up to 20 years in prison.
