Local authorities report two civilians killed in shelling of Kherson region

Two people were killed in the shelling of the Kherson region in one day, one local resident was wounded, head of the Kherson region administration Yaroslav Yanushevych reports.

“Russian invaders shelled the territory of the Kherson region 51 times. They killed two civilians, another resident of the region was wounded,” he says.

According to Yanushevych, the shells were fired from artillery, multiple rocket launchers, tanks, and mortars. Civilian infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged.

Furthermore, the Kherson Water Utility Service [Khersonvodokanal] reports that its employee Denys Fedyunin was killed in the shelling.

“On 6 December, during shelling of the building of the Khersonvodokanal Management, an heir of a great dynasty was killed, one of the most experienced specialists of the company Denys Fedyunin. He had 21 years of work experience. At 43 years of age, he was a determined and multifaceted person, a true professional,” the company’s statement reads.

On 5 December, Ukraine’s authorities reported two people killed in a missile attack on the Zaporizhzhia region conducted by Russia’s Armed Forces.

Additionally, residents in the regions of Kherson, Vinnytsia, Odesa, and Poltava reported sounds of explosions, Ukraine’s broadcaster Suspilne said back then. Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that energy facilities located in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions had been hit.
