Zaporizhzhia authorities report missile attacks on hospital, infant killed

Russia’s army has attacked a maternity ward in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing an infant child, says Oleksandr Starukh, the local governor.

“Grief is in our hearts. A baby who just came into this world is dead. Rescuers are working on the scene,” he wrote.

The hospital in question is located in Vilniansk roughly 30 km due northeast from the city of Zaporizhzhia.

The shelling of Zaporizhzhia killed a local resident on 19 November and left 123 apartment blocks with no heating.

At least nine people were killed following a Russian missile hitting a residential building in the Vilniansk district of the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine a week ago.
