Death toll of Russian missile strike on Zaporizhzhia region up to nine people

At least nine people were killed following a Russian missile hitting a residential building in the Vilniansk district of the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko says.

“As of morning, two more bodies were discovered. <...> My condolences to relatives and close ones,” he wrote in a Telegram post.

The attack took place in the early hours of 17 November, a two-storey residential building was destroyed as a result. On the same day, the Russian Armed Forces shelled Ukraine’s power infrastructure. Odessa governor Maksym Marchenko reported a missile hitting an infrastructure facility in his region, while two infrastructure facilities were hit in the city of Dnipro. Air defence system was activated in Kyiv.
