Head of Russia’s Kursk region reports shelling of border village by Ukraine’s Armed Forces

Ukraine’s Armed Forces fired mortars at the border district village Krasnooktyabrsky this afternoon, Governor of the Kursk region of Russia Roman Starovoyt says in a Telegram post.

“No one was hurt. A three-storey building was damaged, about 20 windows were blown out. Tomorrow, specialists will obtain measurements for repairs,” he writes.

Border villages of the Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions of Russia have been getting regularly shelled since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Today, Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that Ukraine’s Armed Forces had shelled the border village Kozynka. One person was injured in the attack, according to Gladkov.
