Two Russian nationals detained in Norway for taking photos of military facilities

Norway’s police have detained two Russian nationals for taking photos of military facilities, TV 2 reports.

Steffen Ravnåsen, the police representative, has told the media that the two were detained on 22 October in the region of Nordland; they are charged with illegal photoshoot.

“They have been put under custody today; their case will be transferred to the Police Security Service (PST); further investigation will be taken care of by the PST,” Ravnåsen says.

Four Russian nationals were detained on 17 October for taking photos of military facilities; they were released on 21 October. The police investigation ruled that the four were just tourists, however, the procedure against them will not be terminated but also investigated by the PST instead.
