Ukraine: Russia hits Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles at night, five injured

Five people were injured by Russia’s missiles in Mykolaiv last night, Ukraine’s South operative command reports.

The city was hit by S-300 missiles, they say. “A 5-storey building and a 9-storey one were hit. Several vehicles were damaged, as well as a heating pipe and a children’s playground,” reads the statement.

Three injured people were hospitalised, two more received medical aid. A residential building and a warehouse were destroyed, and a heating pipeline was damaged.

A repair squad will be fixing the pipeline, the local mayor says.

A total of 14 kamikaze drones were taken down in the Mykolaiv region by Ukraine's military, the South operative command reports. “The enemy attacked our south with kamikaze drones, as they usually do at night. Our air defence systems took down 11 drones, and three more Shahed-136 drones were taken down by other units,” reads the statement.

Moreover, the settlement of Onufrrivka in the Kropyvnytskyi region had about 50 buildings damaged by the debris of a Russian missile, including the local council and a school, the local authorities say. Those buildings had their windows smashed.
