At least 16 explosions heard in the sky over Russia’s Belgorod

At least 16 explosions were documented in the sky over Russia’s Belgorod, state news agency RIA Novosti reports.

Reportedly, air defence systems have been deployed in the city.

Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov says that two men and one woman were injured in the attack. Houses, fences and cars were damaged in the shelling, with emergency services working on the scene, he added.

Local Telegram channel Underground Belgorod reports, citing local residents, that a pillar of smoke is seen in the area of the airport.

Earlier today, the Donetsk city hall building came under attack. Russia-appointed mayor of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin said that three missiles were launched from HIMARS multiple rocket launchers; one of them hit the city council building.

Yesterday, an oil depot was shelled in the Belgorod region. One reservoir was damaged in the attack out of 10 total. The Shebekino customs checkpoint also came under attack.
