Russia’s Kaluga region governor: drone that came from Ukraine attacks region’s airfield

An explosion has occurred on the territory of the military airfield Shaykovka, governor of the Kaluga region of Russia Vladislav Shapsha reports in a post on his Telegram channel. According to him, a drone, which had, probably, come from Ukraine, fell down.

“No one was hurt. The airfield’s infrastructure and equipment weren’t damaged. There’s no threat to the work process. An investigative team is on the site to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident,” Shapsha wrote.

Yesterday, 6 October, the Kursk region governor Roman Starovoit reported that as a result of the Tetkino village being shelled, a 72-year-old man was killed. According to preliminary data, the man died of a heart attack, while he was sheltering. Several buildings and a gas pipeline were damaged during the attack.
