Two people killed in missile strike on residential area in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region

The Russian military carried out seven missile strikes on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, governor Oleksandr Starukh said on his Telegram channel.

“There were seven missile strikes on residential buildings. People are under the rubble. Rescue teams are working on the scene,” Starukh said.

He later reported that two people had been killed in the strike.

“One woman was killed. The other one died in an ambulance. There are at least 5 people under the rubble,” the official stated.

He also noted that rescue workers had managed to pull out several people from under the rubble. According to Starukh, a three-year-old was among those rescued, she was hospitalised. The rescue operation continues.

Yesterday, Kyiv regional governor Oleksiy Kuleba stated that suicide drones Shahed-136, which Russia bought from Iran, had attacked the city of Bila Tserkva.

One person was injured, he said. Explosions were heard in the city, and fires erupted at local infrastructure facilities.
