‘LPR’ public chamber asks the ‘republic’s head’ to urgently conduct referendum on joining Russia

The public chamber of the self-proclaimed Luhansk “people’s republic” (“LPR”) has asked the head of the “republic” Leonid Pasechnik to urgently conduct a referendum on joining the Russian Federation, reports Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti.

Representatives of the “LPR” public chamber think that becoming a part of Russia will protect the “republic”’s safety and present new opportunities for return to peacetime.

Earlier today, Ukraine’s head of the Luhansk region administration Serhiy Haidai reported that the village Bilohorivka had passed under the complete control of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Furthermore, according to Haidai, the Russian servicemen are preparing to defend the occupied territories, which is why Ukraine’s Armed Forces will not be able to seize the land at once.
