Belgorod governor reports Ukrainian national killed in shelling

A Ukrainian woman 80 years of age was killed in Ukraine’s shelling of Logachevka in the Belgorod region, the local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov claims.

A total of four people were brought to a hospital, three of them being Ukrainian nationals, Gladkov says.

“Preliminary data indicates that several buildings were damaged in the locality of Logachevka. Our emergency services have now cut off electricity and gas supply there. The local authorities promise to repair the damages ASAP,” Gladkov wrote on Telegram.

Residents of various cities and towns in Russia’s Rostov region reported having heard a powerful explosion earlier. The blast was heard in Rostov-on-Don, Azov, Taganrog, Novoshakhtinsk, Novocherkassk, Shakhty, Aksay, and Yeysk;

it rattled people’s fences throughout the region and triggered car alarms to go off in Rostov-on-Don. No local officials have commented on the matter yet.
