Five people killed following Russian strike on Kropyvnytskyi

Following a missile strike on Ukraine’s city of Kropyvnytskyi, Kropyvnytskyi region, by Russian forces five people were killed, including one soldier, 25 people were wounded, reports Ukraine’s national public broadcaster Suspilne, citing the head of the regional military administration Andriy Raikovich’s remarks during a briefing.

Among the wounded there are 12 servicemen and 13 civilians. The type of missiles used is being determined, their remnants have not been found yet, he said.

In total, there were two hits on hangars of the Flight Academy of National Aviation University, Raikovich added. Also, according to him, an Antonov An-26 civilian plane and training aircraft were damaged.

The explosions in the city occurred earlier today, 28 July.

This is not the first time the city is being shelled. On 23 July, following a missile strike on a town in the Kropyvnytskyi region three people were killed: one soldier and two employees of departmental security. Furthermore, at least 13 people were wounded.
