Luhansk shelled with HIMARS

A series of explosions was reported in Metalist and Oleksandrivka near Luhansk by the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic,” a pro-Russia puppet state in east Ukraine.

“Ukraine’s forces have executed a massive strike upon our anti-aircraft defence,” says Andrey Marochko of the so-called “people’s militia.” The city’s military facilities were shelled by nine HIMARS rockets.

A huge fire started in the area, and a rattling sound, presumably of exploding weapons, could be heard, a TASS reporter says.

There is no information on any possible casualties yet. The strike was confirmed by Oleksiy Arestovych, advisor to president Volodymyr Zelensky, and Serhiy Haidai, the Luhansk governor, who said there were “fewer arsenals in Luhansk now.” “Arsenals in Kadiivka and Luhansk saw huge explosions today. The Luhansk industrial area wasn’t a quiet place last night,” he said.

The pro-Russian occupying administration of Ukraine’s Kherson region reported at least seven people dead in yesterday’s Ukraine’s strike on Nova Kakhovka with a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher.
